The Advertising Club of New Orleans stands against racism in all forms, from longstanding institutionalized systems to overt acts of violence against African Americans. As a proponent of human rights and an ally to people of color, it is our duty to fight for a new era of inclusion, diversity, and equity.
Since its inception in 1905, our parent organization, American Advertising Federation (AAF), has upheld the belief in being “The Unifying Voice For Advertising.” Our mission as a club is to not only bring all aspects of the advertising, marketing, and media industries together, but to focus on creating diversity, inclusion, and equity within these industries.
What does that mean?
It means listening, learning, and showing empathy.
It means taking a thousand actions — large and small — to eradicate hate in our society.
It means creating an open, inclusive organization that welcomes the uncomfortable conversations.
There is a lot of work to do, and it won’t happen overnight, but we’ve got to start somewhere.
Together, we can turn the tide.
Black Lives Matter.
